South Bay Singers
The South Bay Singers began as the Gavilan College Concert Choir and functioned under the baton of Phil Robb for 15 years. Mr. Robb retired from the choir in 2011 and passed the baton on to Brant Ruggles. It was during this time that budget cuts from the State of California made it difficult for Gavilan College to continue to support a choir, so the choir became a totally independent, non-profit organization known as South Bay Singers, now under the directorship of Kathy Esteves-Bates.
The South Bay Singers sing music of all types. Whether you enjoy classical oratorios or catchy show tunes, you will find singing those and a myriad of other styles at our rehearsals and concerts.
The South Bay Singers are a community choir composed of men and women from all walks of life. We offer people who love choral music an opportunity to sing and improve their vocal skills in an upbeat and friendly environment.
